Vermilion Racing, a student-initiated project launched in 2018, challenges participants to design and build their own electric Formula Student vehicle. The students compete against over 100 universities worldwide at Formula Student UK (FSUK), where the team proudly demonstrates its engineering expertise and innovative capabilities on a global stage. At the 2024 FSUK competition held at Silverstone, Vermilion Racing won the Business Plan Presentation for the first time—a major component of the competition that underscores creativity, teamwork, and leadership in areas ranging from technical design to project management and logistics.
Through this project, each student gains the opportunity to innovate and develop engineering solutions, equipping them for future careers in engineering, business, and technology. The experience fosters creativity, teamwork, and leadership, as students take charge of everything from technical design to project management and logistics.
Vermilion Racing aspires to be one of the top teams on the grid, and Emendo proudly supports this ambition by providing support to refine strategies, enhance their skills, and overcome challenges. Our workshops have introduced effective tools like scrum boards, which have become essential in their weekly meetings.
