THE CHALLENGE

Driving Innovation for Scalable Growth

Brax, a premium German fashion brand known for its sophisticated, high-quality clothing, has built a strong reputation for combining tradition with innovation. To sustain this success and prepare for future growth, Brax recognized the need to modernize its digital infrastructure, starting with the replacement of its legacy Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

To future-proof their operations, they set out to find a modern, scalable solution that could better support evolving business needs.

OUR APPROACH

Enabling PLM Success Through a Phase-by-Phase Implementation

To ensure a seamless transition and long-term success, we follow a phased approach – moving from concept planning through evaluation to hands-on implementation.

Our core responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting a critical review of existing workflows and driving process standardization.
  2. Defining system requirements tailored to Centric Software’s capabilities, to implement Centric as a standard solution.
  3. Managing organizational change by delivering process-driven training and ensuring user adoption.
  4. Supporting the integration of the PLM system with existing business applications.

FAQ

  1. A Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system in the fashion industry helps manage all aspects of product development, from design and sourcing to production and retail. It centralizes product data, streamlines workflows, and improves collaboration across departments, enabling faster time-to-market and better decision-making.

  2. PLM is essential for apparel and fashion brands because it enhances process standardization, ensures data accuracy, reduces time-to-market, and supports scalability. By managing product development digitally, brands can respond more quickly to market trends and consumer demands while maintaining product quality and compliance.

  3. The key phases include:

    • Concept phase: Defining system requirements and reviewing existing processes.
    • Evaluation phase: Selecting the right PLM software through vendor RFPs and demonstrations.
    • Implementation phase: Configuring the system, integrating it with existing tools, and managing organizational change through training and user adoption.
  4. A PLM system improves efficiency by centralizing product information, automating workflows, and reducing manual data entry. It enables better visibility across the product lifecycle, helps teams collaborate effectively, and supports quicker decision-making through real-time data insights.

  5. Successful PLM adoption depends on careful planning, process standardization, early stakeholder involvement, and structured training. Engaging employees, aligning business needs with system capabilities, and partnering with experienced implementation consultants are all key to ensuring smooth transition and long-term success.

  6. Integrating PLM with existing systems—such as ERP, CAD, or supply chain management tools—creates a unified digital ecosystem. This enhances data accuracy, eliminates silos, improves operational transparency, and enables more informed, data-driven decisions across the organization.
