We begin by understanding the current process through data analysis, leveraging both existing and newly collected data. The analysis identifies capacity constraints and sources of excessive variation. This is complemented by process mapping and waste analysis conducted through stakeholder interviews, structured workshops, and document reviews. Together this enables focus on the most critical improvement opportunities. Based on this current-state assessment, a clear and aligned future state is defined.
Once the gap between current capabilities and future capabilities have been identified, the appropriate tools are selected from our comprehensive, lean-based toolbox. In capacity improvement projects, we place particular emphasis on the Theory of Constraints to ensure a targeted approach and optimal results. The tools are selected in collaboration with the people working with the process to ensure the initiatives are sustainable.
To make sure the implementation of improvements go as smoothly as possible, a project structure and follow-up system is set up. During the implementation phase performance management boards are setup to show progress and effect of the improvements made
